Slender: Halloween 2026 is coming

The nights are getting longer, the fog rolls in earlier, and somewhere between the trees stands a thin, black figure that does not take its eyes off you. From 24 October 2026, Slender returns to our server, this time as a reworked Halloween round.

A look back and a fresh start

In 2023 we brought Slender: The Eight Pages to Minecraft as an asymmetric multiplayer mode. The idea worked, but balancing, rushed maps and technical problems clouded the rounds. Three years later we are bringing the mode back in a reworked version.

At the start of each round one player is picked at random as Slender and hunts everyone else. All other players are Survivors and have to collect pages. How many pages are needed depends on the number of players in the round.

• The Survivors have to collect all pages of the round together before Slender takes them out. Sprinting costs stamina: once the bar is empty, you cannot run, so pace yourselves.
• Slender has to take out every Survivor before they have all the pages.

Before you join

• When you join, the server asks you to accept the resource pack. It is mandatory: if you decline, the server kicks you.
• The GUI is kept dark on purpose, so opening your inventory mid-round does not break the mood.
• New effects run through the game's shaders and are controlled by the server.

Rounds run from 24 October 2026, 18:00, to 2 November 2026, 23:59 (Berlin time). All roles, rules and details are on the Slender event page. The page Join the server shows how to connect.

Our website also puts on a different outfit for this period. From 20 October to 2 November (by the Berlin calendar) the colours shift to violet, orange and green, in light and dark mode alike, and the logo and favicon are swapped. A subtle decoration lies over the pages: two spider webs in the upper corners and, from medium screen widths up, up to three slowly flying bats. The bats stay hidden when the system asks for reduced motion, and the decoration can be clicked through. Outside this period the site keeps its standard design.
