Goal

A walkable world tree made of cherry blossoms: a massive trunk, a far-reaching canopy and a small village of platforms, walkways and huts inside it, explorable via ladders and bridges.

Current state

Trunk and canopy are fully built and the access bridge is finished. Interior work, planting and lighting inside the canopy are still ongoing – around 90 % of the build is done.

Story

In Norse mythology, Yggdrasil is the world tree connecting the nine realms. Svenko1's version grows in cherry blossom instead of ash: a trunk reaching far above the treeline, a canopy shading whole stretches of land, and inside it a web of walkways, platforms and huts. A landmark from below, a small settlement of its own from above.

What is this?

Yggdrasil is Svenko1's flagship build: a cherry blossom tree at a scale no world generator produces. The trunk reaches far above the treeline, the canopy stretches across the landscape as a pink roof of leaves, and at night it is threaded with lanterns.

What you'll find there

  • A covered wooden bridge as the approach, with flower boxes and lanterns
